The Junior League of Rochester Garden Club

The Garden Club is an affinity group of the JLR that meets monthly from September to June on the second Friday of the month for a brief program followed by lunch. Programs may be related to gardening and nature conservancy or may feature other topics of interest to the membership. In recent years, the Garden Club has also raised a few thousand dollars each year to donate to community organizations. One of the Garden Club’s most popular events is the holiday luncheon and silent auction where we enjoy great food and company while bidding to fund some wonderful community projects!

All JLR members in good standing are eligible to join. Dues for the Garden Club are $20 per year, and members pay for the programs they choose to attend (averaging around $22 for the program and lunch). The Garden Club provides opportunities to work on the committees responsible for the community project grants and the club’s monthly programs, as well as leadership opportunities with just the right amount of fun and responsibilities.
